About Billy “Bloody Bill” Pon

Dubbed “Bloody Bill”, my life in guts and gore began at the tender age of 12 with the creation of my first haunted house. Infused with a passion for thrills and chills, bestowed upon me by my father with late night viewings of all the VHS classics - Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, Cannibal Holocaust - I went about making a name for myself as one of the most successful “hauntrepreneurs” in Texas. I spent years setting myself apart with the creation of wholly unique sets, scares and characters, without relying on anyone else’s pre-fabricated ideas. The result of which is a cavalcade of fresh boogeymen, ready to rip into the world fully formed.

Doll Boy was my first creation who came out to play. Testing the waters as a short film in 2010, “Doll Boy” made waves in the indie horror community, being picked up an unprecedented 2 years in a row at arguably the largest horror convention in the country - Texas Frightmare Weekend. Garnering much attention over the last 4 years, Doll Boy became an Official Selection in Elvira’s Horror Hunt, and went on to win several awards including “Best Villain” and “Best Short” and gaining acceptance into over 20 film festivals worldwide.

On the heels of Doll Boy’s success, the feature film “Circus of the Dead” was conceived. Expanding upon the nasty and brutal world in which Doll Boy resides, Circus is a continuation, which follows the murderous exploits of sadistic clown Papa Corn, and his gleeful accomplices. We began by tapping indie horror legend Bill Oberst, Jr. for the role of Papa Corn. Oberst has accumulated a massive following in the horror community after his Daytime Emmy Award win for the role of the “Facebook Stalker” in the online short “Take this Lollipop.”

Unlike any other modern horror character, Papa Corn is striking, vicious, and extremely quotable. Through Circus, Papa Corn has the potential to become something the horror genre hasn’t seen in decades - an icon - as iconic as Freddy Kruger, Jason, or Michael Myers. But Papa Corn is just the tip of the Circus of the Dead iceberg. Mister Blister, Noodledome, Jumbo, Pepe the chainsaw juggling Mime, and many others with twisted and interwoven backstories, plus the open-ended conclusion of Circus provides endless opportunities. “Circus of the Dead” is set to breathe new life into the horror genre, daring to go where most others do not, not only in terms of depth of storyline, detail, plot and character development, but also blood, gore and terror. Despite the film's independent roots, Circus carries an extremely high production value and has been accepted to over 2 dozen film festivals all over the world, winning several Best Feature awards and inspiring tons of fan art - including paintings, dolls, and even tattoos (yes - you read that right - tattoos). We are ready to unleash Circus of the Dead and give horror fans their next “horrorgasm.”
